On macOS you have to use the Elgato app, but it doesn't mess up the OS. Simply digitize the signal into a folder as is (don't expect automatic scene splitting) and then import it into the editing studio.

I was buying to convert video tapes to. mp4 file and fulfilled this purpose. The quality of course goes down slightly compared to the tape, but it's nothing terrible.

The software directly designed for this product (elgato video ccapture) is just a basic simple thing for someone who doesn't want to bother with the conversion and doesn't mind the lower quality. The OBS program is capable of full frame rate and the image is not blurred. Elgato video capture captures 30 frames per second, OBS captures 59.98 or whatever the PAL region is, just as much as what was originally shot

I bought it for my iMac, unfortunately it doesn' t work, even the system freezes and resets. The iMac is new, about a month old, the latest system. I haven' t installed anything on it yet.

downloading drivers and through the software everything under W10 works as it should, without any choppiness or other "annoyances" as other drivers do. I'm happy, the reviews did not lie and I almost bought a cheaper variant, which just according to the reviews is bad, I'm glad for this investment (1h record = about 1GB, which is great)
