After eight years at Apple, I began to perceive that the iPhone + iPad duo didn't fit me. I thought it would increase my productivity, but later I was doing 90% of my activities on my mobile anyway. So I had tens of thousands in iDevices + accessories to end up with the 1X Pro Max, on which I did almost everything for work. And since Apple stubbornly refuses any technological innovation, it was decided that I wanted the jigsaw puzzle and would leave the Apple ecosystem - which hurt. The choice was and still is not very big. There's Fold, V2 and OnePlus Open. This one is probably the best of all the puzzles. Ironically, the software just didn't work for me. I tried the V2 on the showroom floor and it was clear. The price is insane, but I was promising myself a productivity boost within a single device. And that's what happened. Once I migrated the data from the iPhone, which went with minor and major problems, I found that being able to open the phone and watch Teams, Outlook, movies and games on the huge nearly 8" display was awesome. All wrapped in a body that's thinner and lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The entire Honor system is smooth, fast, I didn't encounter any crashes and what's more. Compared to iOS, V2 keeps more apps in the operating memory, which does not reload after restarting. This is probably due to the huge amount of RAM. I'm expecting a big Android OS update in June, which will definitely bring a lot of new features. I believe that Honor will expand its V2 in terms of SW and will not abandon its customers. If I have anything to criticize about the device, it would be the camera. I'm used to uncompromising quality from the iPhone. Honor's quality is at the upper mid-range level. Maybe even the Galaxy S22 shoots better. V2 has problems with the naturalness of the colours and the transitions between dark and light. It often gets dark indoors. Night photos take some practice. The iPhone is definitely more automatic, you just click and perfect photos come out. Don't expect that with the Honor and if you're the photography type, I'd take the Magic 6 Pro, which I've also tried and there's really a completely different quality of photo output. In conclusion - the V2 is an amazing device. Thin, light, beautiful. Perfect performance, beautiful disleys. That someone here is crying about the missing charger makes me smile at a phone at that price level. It's certainly no ordinary jigsaw puzzle. However, I recommend you test the phone somewhere first. If you're looking for a unique foldable phone that doesn't look like a fat remote control for your TV, this is it: )
Even though it is pure Chinese, the workmanship is excellent, even premium.
The titanium joint has a pleasant running action and the two halves fit tightly together when closed.
Both displays are fantastic. They have strong brightness, can save the eyes, and the internal doesn't tend to have problems with dust clogging under the film yet.
The best part is the size of the phone. It is practically uniquely thin and light. The body is made of magnesium alloy.
If Fold has a problem with battery life in general, Honor is very good with battery life. The unique manufacturing process has made it possible to put the battery in both halves of the phone and it shows in the battery life. I finish a busy day with 30%. Just like on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Android with a manufacturer-specific superstructure may not suit everyone. Those who are used to Samsungs will have a hard time getting used to them. If you like pure Android, HonorUI will remind you of iOS. Who switched from Apple as I did, will be extremely satisfied, because Honor is trying to copy iOS.
Compared to Huawei, it has full support for Google services. I wouldn't worry about security threats in the sense of backdoors to Chinese servers. Your phone has advanced logging of all activities. The manufacturer would be really stupid to do something like this at this time.
Generally it is a problem to get a case or any other accessory like a stylus.
The workmanship is fine, but the protruding photomodule at the back really gets in the way. I also don't know how the faux leather on the back of the phone will hold up over time.
It seems to me that after a month the joint is not as stiff as when the phone was new.
The outer display has a factory film and since they don't make tempered glass yet, I recommend leaving it there.
There are occasional lags despite powerful HW. Holt it's not iOS no: )
The phone is being sold with virtually the ending Android OS already, and the update is due to arrive in June 2024. Support may be an issue for all Honor models in general.
The downside to this is - someone may have an internal problem with it being Honor. We expect a certain hallmark of quality from Samsung. Even if the Honor V2 is better than the Fold 5 in terms of HW, most will still reach for the Samsung.
It's generally a problem to get a case. The one supplied is designed a bit unfortunately, that when opened scratches the overlapping joint of the display, or rather the foil on it.
It's missing those SW tricks and touches that Fold has
The pricing policy is special for Honor, which has always targeted students. In a duel with OnePlus, it basically has it very hard.
The camera - it is really weak and you have to take it into account.
A classic you already know if you're interested in the V2 - it can't charge wirelessly and has no water or dust protection. Personally, I don't mind this. I solved it with a docking station and I never carried my phone to the water even though I had durable phones.

A simple jigsaw puzzle at an exorbitant price. Nothing special compared to the competition.
A simple folding phone for today. Nothing special.
Overpriced. It's worth about 20000Kč, no more than that.

The phone is amazing. He's just ultra-premium. I had a Galaxy Fold2 for a few years and when I took the Honor out of the box, the Fold started to feel like a 10 year old clunker. The Honor is gorgeous and the thickness never ceases to fascinate me. 🤤😍
