Well, if you want to worry about it, so be it. But our three cats don't really want to wash one, it looks like a water war with him. I would reach for a different product I guess, just an anvil on the coat/hand and soap up the lather. Not that I have to hold it in my hand first, then massage out the gel consistency and then soap it up but almost without foam.
