The cable has a very bad contact, from unpacking it acts like some old broken charging cable: in order to light up the phone that it is charging, I have to move the cable, and even so, the charging turns itself off and back on again several times. Because of this, the phone only charges at a rate of about 1% per hour. The other connector, micro USB, is the same and even worse. My book reader doesn't charge at all on it (it does on other micro USB chargers). I have tried plugging the cable into different adapters, even into a PC, with the same result, so it is clearly a cable fault. Really a shame, the option of two types of USB on one cable is great and would be very useful to me.
