Retrospectively, I would have gone for the variant without the "vacuum" (it was not available at the time of purchase). Maybe it would seal more. The pump hole has a pretty loose silicone plug which just gets in the way when washing. "Vacuum" is more like a tiny vacuum, I don't think it will extend the life of the food.
