SAS is the innovative generation of the SCSI increasing the performance of the repository systems and improving their availability.Extends the functionality of parallel SCSI hard disks and one of the main advantages of this technology is the integration of 3.5-inch SAS units with a Serial ATA units in a single device.This option offers exceptional flexibility and scalability.Full-duplex architecture will ensure that storage facilities supplied data to the host system at the same time, when the host system sends commands to other storage facilities.Dual-port architecture allows easy integration type of fail-over.Host systems and storage are connected to two channels and data are constantly available in the event of a failure of some of the components.Other benefits such asdata integrity, reliability and the ability to connect up to 16,256 discs in a single domain.Interface disk with this find, for examplevysokotransakčních in the database and applications for highly available data, but also for archiving data or backups.
