The device has completely replaced the TV, I am from Pilsen, where it is under the PilsFree company, the internet is led, for the most part, by fiber optic cable, which is really very fast, the average speed of 100Mb at peak, so I put the hub with ethernet port after a test measuring the speed of the internet, there has been a significant improvement in the signal taken by the internetub, please take and for 299kč per month the ability to install a TV watching application on two possible android devices, I can afford therefore a completely old TV thanks to the ethernet port cable. For 299 kc a month, the TV Watch app, which can connect to just this android device, blue declare that I have an old TV but thanks to Chromecast I have all the modern features I need.

I miss the USB Port, which can be solved by extending the USB-C hub, which has but the same power delivery socket, it is good to choose a hub that has an Ethernet socket, improve the signal input internet. USB storage, USB mouse and keyboard can be connected to the hub, so the internet signal will improve.

I have an older non-smart TV, still without HDMI-CEC support (at least I think). I operated it for a long time with a mini computer and a small portable keyboard with an integrated touchpad, but it was never quite right. Chromecast eliminates all the ills of this solution and is several times cheaper. You can turn the whole TV off and on with the remote, so you really only need the Chromecast remote and you don't need the TV one. The only thing that seems a bit problematic, and that I'll have to figure out, is playing video files, because I don't know how to get them into the Chromecast yet - I can't connect an external drive to it (the only USB-C is used for power), I don't want to set up network storage for it, and the casting isn't very subtitle-friendly. Either way, I think it's an ideal simple solution for older TVs.
