At first glance, the headphones are very similar to the previous generation, but they are a bit better in every way.
The sound is much more detailed, the bass more dynamic than the XM4
Smaller size of both headphones and charging case while maintaining the same durability
Overall more sophisticated control, for pairing headphones there is a button directly on the box, receiving and rejecting a call can be done by moving the head
connection to two devices at the same time, for example, you can listen to music on your laptop and when a call comes in the headphones switch to the phone
Lots of possible settings in the app
As with the XM4, I'm missing the XL size earbuds in the package, but hopefully some other manufacturer will sort that out in time

I have to say that I have been speculating for a long time about which headphones to go for. I wanted something where I can combine the joy of listening to music, both in sports and in public transport and walking. I'm happy about the sound, noise cancellation, durability, weight, size and IPX4, when e.g. nameless.
For the money I do not regret and highly recommend.

I was looking forward to the release of these headphones. I'm a fan of the previous XM4 and these XM5s are even better. I don't feel anything fundamentally new, just improved on an already excellent headset. I really like them, I've been listening to them all day today and I have to appreciate the new feature in the app - "Find Your Equalizer". I don't like the glossy surface, but on the other hand, thanks to it and the new design of the headphones, I guess it will be much easier to clean the headphones.
