I have been using the product for more than a year in a common environment in the industry and I am satisfied with it!
I expected a robust solution and I got it. I use them daily in a very dusty environment.
I use headphones daily in an industrial and very noisy environment. I move in the environment of the mill and I am the only one who can be called in operation and at the same time I often make a bridge between the telephone line and bystanders in operation! (The caller hears the surrounding audience and translates the caller, which is great in a noisy environment! ) If you only have a phone, you are not able to use it in this operation, because you do not hear or feel the ringing (vibration). In sleep mode, I listen to the audio quietly.
I just need to recharge them every other day = they can handle shift work for 12 hours. straight!
The range between the phone and the headphones is up to 4 floors in an industrial building!
So far, they have been able to withstand brutal dust with reasonable maintenance for a year
Voice unlocking works well, but in an industrial environment it doesn' t give off some sounds from the surrounding sets, so internal listening often switches to the environment without making sense. However, I tolerate this, because a torn screw compressor is what no machine can do.

After the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO, V-MODA CROSSFADE M-100, Koss Porta Pro(both wired and BT version), m-audio(Ultimate Ears) IE-20XB dual driver, as a fan of higher quality bass I reached for the Sony WH-1000XM4 even though I knew that the supposedly older version of the XM3 had a more pronounced bass performance. I needed a Bluetooth multipoint (to listen to a movie and at the same time to receive a call) so I had to go to XM4 and I don't regret it. Subjectively I expected more from ANC but probably this technology is not yet at such a high level in general but supposedly Sony is the best at it. I mind the permanent dimming when the ANC is switched on.
The workmanship is high quality, the hearing aids can be folded. Both wired and wireless listening is possible. The endurance is excellent. The reproduction is of high quality and there is a great possibility to adjust the sound even for a Basshead like me, and I don't have to use my hardware equalizer or pro amplifier to get thick accurate bass (not empty dull impulses) from my headphones. The sound source is very important.
Touch control is excellent. LDAC codec is excellent, AAC is friendly, SBC is a bore. Apt-X would be the point to a near perfect recess. LDAC cannot be used at the same time if you have BT multipoint enabled. XM4 already has the option to use EQ with LDAC. Speak to chat is a step in the right direction but it is not yet the right thing to do.
Except Koss Porta Pro(for sport) the first hearing aids where I am almost completely satisfied.
Along with Klipsch and Magnat speakers I finally have hearing aids that will play what they have without additional hardware.

Even the basshead will be satisfied (a fan of the increased reproduction complexity after adjusting the settings)
excellent battery life (after first charge), fast charging via USB-C
ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) but unfortunately there is no digital silence but the hum is felt.

When listening to music, ANC performs very well.
they do not press but you cannot make sudden movements (they are not designed for sport).

"Speak to chat" option if you start talking the listening is muted and I guess ANC is turned off. The situation if you start telling someone something.

I haven't tested the sound quality when making a call, but it is reportedly not among the best

Activated ANC senses sum. The headphones dampen the sound but not completely and turning on the ANC generates a weak summation.

Multipoint BT (mobile + nvidia shield player) colisavy sound. Switching Sound quality to "priority on stable connection" helped. Or the SBC.
did not show the correct battery charge values. It was fixed with a one-time connection via cable. Since then it works reliably both in the app and voice when you tap the power button
the app is functional but the design could be improved

After a week, they moved on. I haven't seen such a shoddy design in headphones for a long time. The constant creaking of the hinge on the right shell drove me crazy. They were my last Sony headphones. The headphones may be perfect, but hearing an annoying crackle every time you move your head slightly is unacceptable at this price level.

Almost perfect headphones from my point of view
Two connected BT devices only works well on even days
The pause function when taking it off is quite troublesome in case of frequent use of services like google meet, zoom. -> simple solution -> disable this function
