Managing the access point from the worldwide leader in networking services, Cisco Systems. It is ideal for small businesses that are planning to expand their existing wired networks or create new wireless network for their employees and guests. The access point operates in primarily when clients connect to it, but it also can be used as Bridge for connecting two Ethernet segments or as a repeater for signal amplification.
Model features RandeBooster technology, which in comparison with conventional 802.11g can up to double the bandwidth and speed data transfers of up to 35%! Its advantage is also called the coverage. Dead spots in offices and buildings, so that users get the option of wireless connectivity in a larger area. Wireless data transmission is directed by two detachable antennas with a gain of 2 dBi. Reliable security created wireless network ensures WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access). Quality voice and video data transfer via Wi-Fi or standard cable takes care of support QoS (Quality of Service).
The access point can be powered via DC connector classically supplied AC adapter or via a classic UTP cable, because it supports standard 802.11af (Power over Ethernet). This is another huge advantage because the access point can be installed even in places where there are no available electrical outlet.
