I don't know what to write about an inflatable pillow. I have it as a car seat, the seat doesn't go that high. I didn't try lying on it. But the coating has a textile finish. I'm sure there are more comfortable pillows to choose from for lying down, with ergonomic adjustments, but this one was unbeatably priced and for me it fulfills the function very well. Even in freezing weather, the surface is not uncomfortable. Unfortunately, it was probably the last one and is no longer available.
